The Candidate: Strong communication skills, resilience, confidence, a solid work ethic and enthusiasm Commercial insurance experience ie commercial underwriter or broker Excellent administrative and organisational skills Understanding of relevant commercial products Proven account or client management and development Cert CII - beneficial, or willing to work towards Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for handling referrals, new business, renewals and mid term adjustments for Wholesale Brokers, Network Brokers and Company Branches. Balancing intermediary needs with organisational objectives in order to deliver business success and profitable growth. Identifying business opportunities and acting on behalf of Insurers within delegated underwriting authority binders. You will make effective day-to-day decisions so that work is completed efficiently, delivering a high level of customer service. The successful candidate will ensure that customer, business unit and legal requirements for raw materials and supplier quality assurance are achieved, that quality, safety and risk evaluation systems are adhered to, and corrective actions are completed. They will also support the Technical & Quality Department in developing and maintaining a quality culture throughout the site through the provision of accurate and timely data and documentation and by supporting projects that support the operations team to develop robust corrective action plans for quality improvements. Duties Maintain and approve the existing and new raw materials on QADEX system Maintain the supplier self-audit questionnaires for new and existing suppliers Perform the horizon scanning and advising business of potential supplier/raw material issues Approve and maintain supplier's own format raw material specifications Maintain, update and issue of the approved suppliers list Check the retailer's websites for policies and general updates on daily basis and communicating the updates to relevant team members Take the ownership of the raw material tracker and manage the spec approvals Perform internal audits against systems to ensure compliance and completion of corrective actions to root cause Maintaining the supplier approval for factored goods Approve non branded factored goods specifications Validate on pack claims by reviewing the raw material specifications Ensure that all the retailer's policies within the Product Pack are current and up to date Maintain and update the raw materials data on RP system Respond to internal and external requests for factored good finished product specifications Assist and provide full support in traceability exercises Ensure that all raw material specifications are reviewed and validated on annual basis or when notified of changes and advise business accordingly Provide Technical support in the escalation of corrective actions with suppliers where raw material requirements are not met Ensure that suppliers are fully approved Maintain and update relevant raw material systems and databases liaising with Operations, Technical and NPD as appropriate Assist in the co-ordination of response to raw material related food safety alerts Participate in internal or external audits ensuring all relevant raw material information is available and completed in the required timescale "The services advertised by IntaPeople are those of an Employment Agency and an Employment Business".
