We are looking for a Medical Advisor to join our client, a major pharmaceuticals company, on an initial 6 month contract. This role has a split location of Guildford 3-4 days per week and Oxford 1 day per week. Daily rate: £1000 - 1,200 per day Job Role: Medical affairs contribution to the therapy area strategy and operations Takes accountability for understanding customer and patient needs in the defined therapy area Contributes high quality input into Brand Plans and Strategic Plans ensuring that customer needs are understood and acted upon. Works collaboratively with key partners such as marketing, customer facing compliance, sales teams, patient access and transparency to implement medical programmes in an ethical and compliant way which is aligned with brand strategy Deliver defined plan and programme elements to internal and external customers. Contribute to the local evidence generation strategy, plan and execution for the franchise Input into the gap analysis and development of innovative approaches to the Evidence Generation and Clinical Plans to meet the needs of the local therapy area including designing epidemiology and clinical trials, and other programmes to examine the effectiveness in practice. Support the implementation of the clinical programme via the CSU in the franchise area as directed by the Medical Franchise lead. Provide medical opinion to Regulatory Affairs as directed so that regulatory strategies can be developed in the franchise area. Accurately raises Purchase Requisitions with information provided by requestor and ensure such information is correct Hard Skills/Top 4 Evaluation Criteria - Final Signatory - 5 years experience with established company - UK Registered Medical Practitioner - Knowledge of Regulatory guidelines, medicines act and the human medicines regulations, ABPI code of practice and standard operating procedures, plus experience of their implementation within the business environment.
