Harvey Nash's client in Edinburgh require an Occupational Health Nurse to join them on a short-term contract as soon as possible. This will be an initial 4-week contract. Main Duties: . Arrange and provide immunisation clinics in line with best practice and in compliance with relevant OH protocols . Take responsibility for transportation and safe custody of vaccines, oxygen and anaphylactic drugs . Undergo workplace risk assessments . Interpret complex facts and situations relating to employment eg assessing/judging individuals' suitability for employment referral to OH Advisor, Physician . Provide on-site confidential consultation service, supporting/counselling for distressing/emotional circumstances such as work related/personal issues, possibly following traumatic events with referral to OH Advisor, Physician or counsellor as required. . Maintain a manual system (confidential and computerised) for Occupational Health records, including clinic attendance and personal clinical records. . Keep constant communication with clients and managers to ensure service delivery. Essential Skills: . Must be a registered nurse at level one with up to date registration with NMC. . Must be working towards a specialist practitioner certificate in Occupational Health Nursing. . Minimum of 2 year's post registration experience in general nursing. . Skills in Phlebotomy, and Counselling. . Knowledge/interest of current OH issues and relevant legislation. . Occupational health experience would be advantageous.
